Unit 1.2 scriptwriting
In north America in the city of Toronto.Thomas and his family went on a month long holiday.They were in the same hotel that the queen stays in when she visits Toronto.Thomas was so tired from the long flight.They decided to go across North America on a train it would take approximately 100 hours and over 3000 miles.
When they got on the train it was mysterious.The first day was good and the trip was going well but when it got the the night the beds where the most uncomfortable thing and every time you woke up you smashed your head onto the top of the train.

After the 2nd day on the train they started to run out of food;This was a big problem.They only had salad left.No burgers, No steak, no meat only salad.Thomas and his family were devastated.
Thomas's sister doesn't eat any vegetables.she didn't eat for the rest of the journey.
when the third day came along there was very little to do and very little to see the train was getting more depressing by the second.The only thing they could do was sit in silence waiting for it to be over.
by the forth day the whole train was silent this did not make the trip any better thankfully the trip was over that day and everything was back to normal.

Screenplay formatting
header - slug lines
-Lines at the top in all caps.
-INT/EXT.location - Time of day
-you need a new slug line whenever the location, time of day or beginning a new scene.
-If a scene changes between inside and outside without cutting you use INT./EXT.therefore you don't have to do a new slug line every time they walk in and out.
Action line
-action lines describes what is going on in the scene in more detail.
-Action lines should only be visual information.
Character ID
-goes below action line.
-Just says the person who is talking.
Dialogue
-This goes under the character ID and this is what that character says in the scene.
Character parenthetical
-tell the reader if the character is doing something thats not shown on screen
-Like talking on a phone is (on phone)
Dialogue Parenthetical
-placed above the dialogue and below the character ID.
-illustrate how the person is talking and the emotion or another language.
Transition
-come down at the end of a scene
Over black
-when the screen turns black
